4 Easy Ways To Practice Gratitude Daily

There’s no denying that we are experiencing times as we have never experienced before. While we totally understand it’s important to allow yourself to feel whatever you need whether that be sadness, happiness, joy, or confusion. It’s also more important than ever to practice gratitude and at a time where a lot has been taken away, focusing on what you do have can be the mood booster you need!

Here at Reign swim we’re always all up for tips and tricks that will add to our happiness and since sharing is caring we’ve put together a few easy ways for you to practice gratitude daily. We hope these simple practices can add some extra joy into your lives during these difficult times. Remember now more than ever it’s important to remember to be kind to yourself!

Start a gratitude journal

Grab a pen and some paper and write down at least three reasons you have to feel gratitude (or for the ladies that are digital queens using the notes app on your phone is a great alternative). Whatever you feel grateful for, write it down, there are no right or wrong answers. This is about what you personally feel grateful for. To make this practice a daily habit and to get the most benefit from it try doing this at the same time every day.  A lot of people find doing this in the morning is a great way to start the day but do what works for you!

Spread the love

Right now, having a support network is so important and needed, who comes to mind when you think about the support you receive?  Well whoever popped into your head, send them a message telling them expressing the gratitude you feel from their support. This will help you to focus on why you’re grateful for this person’s presence in your life and it’s bound to make them feel very loved.  Go ahead and spread the love, you’ll feel great while doing it!

Take a pause

Whether you’re still going to work as an essential worker (we applaud and thank you all), working from home or at home and unable to work. It’s important to take a pause from whatever your daily routine may look like. Use this time to stop and to feel grateful, remind yourself you’re doing your best! It’s so easy to get caught up in coping and adapting but taking a pause even to just be grateful you’ve made time to take a pause can be helpful. And don’t get put off this one by telling yourself you don’t have the time. You can feel the benefit of this practice in as little as 5 minutes a day!

Celebrate you

We all need to applaud ourselves because we’ve all had to adapt to a new way of life and just in case no one told you today you’re doing amazing! You all deserve to give yourselves a massive round of applause! But you don’t have to stop there, you can make the act of celebrating yourself a daily practice. Take some time to write down 3 things about yourself that make you feel grateful, whether that is something you’ve achieved or something about your character that makes you feel grateful. Write it down, celebrate you, and feel the gratitude!
