5 Self-Love Habits To Adopt In 2021

Self-Love and confidence, we all struggle with it sometimes and it can get overwhelming, especially in our hectic and busy lives. We often forget to just stop for a minute and breathe. We know how hard it can be to build a self-love routine, but now more than ever with the world in such a strange place it’s so important to add it into your day. Here are five tiny acts of self-love that you can do on even the busiest of days! Tiny acts, with enormous effects!

1. Look in the mirror when you brush your teeth every morning and pick one thing about your body that you love.

This will start your day off in a positive way and encourage more vibrantly positive thoughts and mindset throughout the day.  It may feel strange at first, but if you keep at it, gradually you’ll start to notice a change in the way you see yourself.

2. Join a body positive community

You know what they say, teamwork makes the dreamwork! Battling problems or issues with a supportive team or group around you is always easier and less daunting than facing it on your own. By being around people going through the same confidence struggle as you and learning to celebrate your bodies together, it helps to normalise your view towards yourself and understand your body! It’s also a great way to share insecurities or tips, ask questions and get advice!

3. Dress in your favourite outfits

Who says you have to save your favourite outfits for a special occasion? Right now, we’re getting dressed up to sit on the sofa and binge netflix with a bottle of wine! No judgement here …Dress in an outfit that makes you want to look in the mirror. Dress up for yourself first, it’s not about impressing anybody else but you! By intentionally choosing an outfit you love and feel good in, you create tiny sparks of self respect and self love, and this will radiate in how you feel when you look in the mirror!

4. Watch you who follow on social media

Being selective is key here. Social media platforms are great for inspiration, keeping close to friends and family during lockdown and for a lot of other things, but it can become a toxic environment without you even knowing. Be sure to follow positive people and pages that you can relate to and lift your spirits. Whilst they’re great platforms, they can contribute significantly to body confidence issues. Why not follow people who are confident, empowered, and who look like you?

5. Find clothing companies that cater to you!

Us women come in all shapes, sizes, and varieties and we all deserve to be celebrated and catered to when it comes to clothes. Take some time to do some research and find brands who make it clear that they are size and body inclusive. There's nothing worse than being so excited for your purchase to come, for it then not to even be close to the right size. Talk about mood killer! For fuller bust women, Reign Swim caters to you by creating pieces that have enough room for your bust to sit comfortably whilst being accentuated, without compromising on style! We are fashionably functional.
